It's really such a shame because all these people, or at least the ones I know, are so good at what they do and such lovely people as well. Well, it seems it's still going. I'll be updating here.
Via Coolfer :: Update: Billboard.biz reports that Sony BMG laid off 42 people and Sony Music Label Group laid off 19.

Last night I went to see the Teenage Prayers at Fat Baby. It was originally an Undisputed Heavyweights & friends night but we had to pull out last minute. Still a great night with the Prayers bringing it soulja style once more. Rachael of Underrated Magazine was there also and says:
"Lots of people up on stage, lead by an eclectic lead singer. Check. Tambourines, varied instruments, and a sound completely unique. Check. If lead singer Tim started yelling at the crowd or kicking audience members it would have been a new coming of The Brian Jonestown Massacre. And yet I'm always one to defend that BJM is far more than their stage antics, because they are. And there, in front of me was the answer. Teenage Prayers are a more adjusted, put together and equally as talented BJM."
I love Clipse, the Virginia rap group that recently got out of their J Records contract (after they took over Arista), for many reasons. One of them is that they give me so many totally random quotables. For examples, I love to say: "Cot Damn, what is it? the whip appeal or my babyface?" (I think this is one of those "you had to be there" type thing that is only fun in my own head haha).
